A PCB Fabrication is a rigid structure that consist of electrical circuitry which is made of embedded metal wires called traces, and larger areas of metal called planes. To the top, bottom, or both layers of the board onto metal pads electronic components are soldered. To the board circuitry these pads are connected which then allows the components to be interconnected together. The composition of board is of multiple layers of circuitry stacked together, either a single layer of circuitry or circuitry on the top and bottom.
With a dielectric core material along with poor electrical conducting properties the circuit boards are built which then make the circuitry transmission as pure as possible. With additional layers of metal and dielectric it is interspaced. For circuit boards the standard dielectric material used is a flame-resistant composite of woven fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin known as FR-4. Whereas you will find that the metal traces and planes for the circuitry are composed of copper.
For a variety of purposes RF PCB are used. In toys or controllers, you can find simple circuit boards. Whereas in computers and telecommunications there is use of advanced circuit boards.
With flexible materials few boards are prepared which then allows them to be used in unique cases and enclosures that need them to bend around other features of the device. With specialized materials few boards are built and it is due to the high frequencies that they operate at. But there are other boards that have heavy layers of copper in them for high powered circuits. It is used in industrial control panels and similar other applications.
